The Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics (CSAA) founding conference was held in Beijing Science Hall on February 20 to 28, 1964. Professional Committee on Electronic and Automatic Control is one of the five established committee by CSAA.

　　The first session of the standing council of the first meeting of the CSAA was held in Beijing Institute of Aeronautics on July 25, 1964. At the same time, the Professional Committee on Electronic and Automatic Control members list was declared. This technical committee covers several fields, such as aeronautics automatic control, astronautics automatic control, fire-control system, computer, avionics. There are lots of well-known experts and scholars in this committee.

　　With the development of the discipline, avionics, fire-control system and other technical committee established independent committee. In October 1982, Professional Committee on Electronic and Automatic changed its name to Professional Committee on Automatic Control. The third session of the standing council of the second meeting of the CSAA declared the members list.

　　Since 1983, the CSAA Professional Committee on Automatic Control have set up seven professional group.

　　2. Aircraft Control and Manipulate Professional Group

　　3. Hydraulic and Pneumatic Professional Group

　　4. Aeronautical Electrical Engineering Professional Group

　　5. Simulation Professional Group

　　6. Instrumentation and Test Professional Group

　　7. Gyro Inertial Navigation Professional Group

　　In 1993, Professional Committee on Automatic Control changed its name to Technical Committee on Automatic Control. Then the seven professional group became the seven professional committee.

　　The committee changed its name to Technical Committee on Guidance, Navigation and Control(TCGNC), CSAA on October 2009 and named TCGNC for short. And it still anchored in Beihang University.
